Where The Church Meets In Hanover, PA
This is a picture of where the Church of Christ meets in Hanover, PA. Barb and I moved to Hanover in August of 1980 to work with the two existing families that were meeting at that time in a home. Twenty summers ago (1986) a group of volunteers from a number of states converged on an empty field and two weeks later there was a building. It was an “Extreme Home Makeover” type building program.
The Church continues to grow under the capable leadership and direction of Barry Becker my brother in Christ and one of the closest friends I have on the planet. Barry and his family came to the Lord during our work with the Glen Rock Church of Christ back in the early 70’s. Barry wanted to establish a congregation in his home town of Hanover, about 14 miles away. He and his family began holding services in their home in 1978 or 79, I am not sure which. In 1980 they invited Barbara and I to come and be apart of the work there.
